Located on the crest of a hill one block west of the San Pancho/Francisco hospital, Café del Mar prides itself on fine quality dining without the exhorbanent prices of Puerto Vallarta. The restaurant itself is a study in how to maximize atmosphere with minimal materials. The place glows with ambiance, yet it’s nothing more then concrete, ironwork and simple wood framing, albeit with an amazing array of creative inspiration thrown in. It is truly a perfect example of warm, organic minimalism.

Amandine is the beautiful owner of Café del Mar and she hails from Belgium via France. At her restaurant she offers a wide selection of exquisite tropical food from around the world. Café del Mar exists in a very simple, but elegant setting. The atmosphere and music will transfer you to another dimension.

In Café del Mar you may have the privilege to enjoy intimate shows such as flamenco dancing, contemporary dance, reggae music and jazz. You can see the exhibits of many local artists on display at Café del Mar. From the menu, try the pasta with Asian herbs - or if you are a fish lover, try the grilled tuna. It is all so good!

The chef is a rare talent from Singapore and his Asian flavors are bold and elegant. Café del Mar could possibly be the best unknown restaurant on the north of Puerto Vallarta.
